Jim and Lyndsey’s Clandeboye Lodge Wedding

29 Nov

The day before Jim and Lyndsey’s wedding, the weather was not too good at all!  Thankfully though it turned out to be a beautiful day which let us get down to Crawfordsburn Country Park for some photos like this one and the ones below in the gallery.

It was a super wedding day and Truscott Photography was there from before the Groom’s arrival through to after the speeches.

Belfast was the venue for the service and it was a beautiful church that really set the tone for the day.

After a lovely service it was time to hit the road and head to Crawfordsburn Country Park with the Bridal Party for some fun shots then a walk along the beach front with the new Mr & Mrs!

Then it was straight up to Clandeboye Lodge for the reception where everyone was having a great time before the sit down time.

Jim and Lyndsey had just the day they wanted and congrats to them on such a great day and the best of luck in your future!

Garry and Claire’s Malone House Wedding

4 Nov

I think the photo above shows what a brilliant time Garry and Claire had on their wedding day!  They wanted to have a relaxed fun day and that is exactly what they had…

Truscott Photography was there from before the service through to after the speeches the get all the photos of the fun unfolding.

The day started with a beautiful service in Belfast and then the reception was held at Malone House who do a superb job of running a wedding.

I really enjoyed the day because everyone was in such great form…  Congrats on a great day Garry and Claire and all the best for the future!

Stephen and Rebekah’s Malone House Wedding

16 Oct

Stephen and Rebekah had a fabulous wedding with a very nice service in Belfast followed by a great reception at Malone House in Belfast.  Truscott Photography was there from before the service through to after the speeches to capture all the special photos for them.

This wedding wasn’t just amazing because it was such a great day, it was amazing because it was the first wedding I have ever been too where the Bride and Groom had the same surname!!  I’m sure that makes it very easy for everyone.

There were plenty of smile from beginning to end for Stephen and Rebekah’s wedding and the fun started from the moment the guys arrived right through to the hilarious best man speech when it was time for me to go.

The day started in Belfast with beautiful weather where I got some detail shots around the church before a Groom and his Groomsmen arrived ready to enjoy the day ahead.  After a few quick photos of the guys, they went about their preparations as I snapped some photos of the guests arriving and anything else that caught my eye.

Time seemed to fly in to the beautiful bridesmaids and bride arriving.  After a few quick formal photos outside the church it was showtime and Rebekah was soon making her way down the aisle with her Dad to greet Stephen in front of many happy family and friends.  After a lovely service we had a meet and great session in the foyer where everyone got to say congrats to the newlyweds!

From there we went straight up to Lady Dixon Park for some great location shots around the grounds and the Japanese garden.  It was a flying visit and it was very tricky getting around (as Rebekah will tell you!) as it thumped rain the night before.

After the location shots we hit the road for Malone House for a well deserved drink and the reception.  Stephen and Rebekah arrived to a lot of their guests out the front to see their arrival which was cool.  There was plenty going on along with plenty of photos as well.  We got the formal shots done nice and early and a nice big group shot before the sit down time.

It was great fun and Stephen and Rebekah organised a great day for everyone!  Congrats guys and best of luck for the future!

Lee and Stacey’s Great Hazelbank Wedding

27 Sep

Lee and Stacey had a great wedding with close family and friends in Belfast then down to Hazelbank Park for some location shots.  Truscott Photography was there from before the service to the end of the location shots to get all the photos for Lee and Stacey.

I arrived nice and early to the church to get all of the detail shots done because I knew it was going to be a busy time before and after the service to get all the candid shots of the guests as I wasn’t going to the reception.

It was good fun once the guests arrived with plenty of laughs and the kids running around.  I was snapping away getting as many shots as I could before Lee and his Groomsmen arrived.

Lee arrived with a big smile on his face ready to go, so we got some quick photos of him with his Groomsmen before they got back into organising everything they needed to.

Soon after the girls arrived and Stacey arrived in style with a big smile on her face as well and a celebration getting out of the car to match!

The service was lovely and you could just tell by looking around the room how happy everyone was for them.  After the service we headed into the church hall where again I was trying to get as many shots of the guests as possible as I knew I didn’t have the reception to get shots of them then.  It was great though, by the end of the session in the church hall I had a lot of candid shots and we were ready to head outside for the group photo and the formal shots.

The group photo and formal shots were a laugh and straight after that we were away to Hazelbank Park to get some shots by Belfast Lough.  The entire Bridal Party came down to the park and we got some funny shots with the sea in the background, then it was time for the newly weds to enjoy a stroll about the park for some nice big feature shots with the Lough and dramatic sky in the background.

My time was finished unfortunately after our walk around the park…  I’m sure Lee and Stacey had a brilliant night!

All the best in the future guys and I wish you luck with everything ahead!

Adam and Ingrid’s Beautiful Sunny Wedding

19 Sep

Adam and Ingrid had a beautiful sunny day for their wedding in Kircubbin and then the Stormont Hotel in Belfast.  Truscott Photography was there to cover the service right through to the speeches before dinner.

International weddings are always special because not only is everyone excited about the wedding but they are excited about spending time with people that they don’t get to see as much as they would like to.  Adam is from America and Ingrid’s family is from Austria so this had twice the excitement for everyone involved.

The service itself took place in a beautiful little church that is only open to weddings a couple of times a year…  It doesn’t have electricity or plumbing so it really hadn’t changed much since it was built in 1777.  There were plenty of photos from the lads arriving, then the guests arriving and right through to Ingrid’s arrival looking beautiful.  The service was lovely and had a real feel to it in this special old church.

After the service we were off to Ballywalter Beach which provided the perfect location to take a stroll up and down a nice part of the beach to get some beautiful location shots.  We were only at the beach for about half an hour as we needed to head up to Stormont Hotel for some Austrian games which I knew were going to be interesting…

So it is tradition in Austria for the Bride and Groom to compete in a couple of games and these included some football, sawing through a tree trunk together and nailing nails into a tree trunk amongst other things!  Plenty of fun!

After that, we had a group photo outside the Stormont Hotel then it was sit-down time and straight into the speeches which were lovely as Ingrid’s sister translated her Dad’s heartfelt speech.

So it was a really good, fun filled day with plenty of sun for everyone to enjoy.  Congrats guys and all the very best for the future!

Jamie and Naomi’s Excellent Wedding

21 Aug

Jamie and Naomi had an excellent wedding day!  Pretty much the only thing that wasn’t perfect was that the cars were running a little late in the morning…  The weather was great, plenty of family and friends with big smiles on their faces and a brilliant Bride and Groom who were a pleasure for Truscott Photography to take photos for throughout the day with their brilliant happy relaxed approach to the day!

The day started with the service in Belfast which was great with everyone mingling outside in the nice weather!  Naomi arrived in the convertible Beauford looking stunning and after some quick photos out the front of the church it was time for her to head in to see Jamie!

The service was lovely and after heading back down the aisle and a couple of cakes in the church hall with guests, it was time for us to hit the road and head to the Clandeboye Lodge via Crawfordsburn Country Park.

The Country Park was super…  There was potential for it to be really busy, but we decided to head there and thankfully it was nice and quiet.  So we took a walk up and down the grass beside the beach and had a bit of fun getting some different shots – especially with the vail in the strong wind!  Naomi soon made an executive decision to get rid of the vail!

So after a 25 min stop at the Country Park it was off to the Clandeboye Lodge for the reception.

When we arrived we went into the reception room for a quick check and the mock cutting of the cake then into the formal shots.  After that we took a quick walk around the side of the lodge for a couple of shots I love to get and then it was time for the guys to get some mingling time in with their family and friends before the sit-down time.

The speeches were very funny…  The Father of the Bride actually left the room during his speech because he forgot a lovely present for Naomi in the car so with quite a few people wondering what was going on, he soon arrived back with the lovely present for Naomi.  And what was the present?… Two of Naomi’s baby teeth made into a set of ear-rings!  I’m sure Naomi has been wearing them about the shops!

So it really was a great day with plenty of fun had by all.  Congrats to you both and all the best for the future!

Donna and Belinda’s Beautiful Kilrea Wedding

15 Aug

Donna and Belinda had a beautiful sunny and fun wedding at the Manor House in Kilrea.  Set on a golf course with a very nice lake, it made a super venue for the occasion.  Truscott Photography was there to join in the fun from before Donna and Belinda arrived at the venue through to after the speeches.

It was an amazing day that Donna and Belinda woke up to for their wedding and from spending most of their day with them things just got better and better as the day went on.  From their arrival there were plenty of smiles and all of the guests were having a great time as well.  When the girls arrived, we got some photos in a couple of locations with their witnesses then it was time to greet their close family and friends before the service started.

After a very nice intimate service we took some formal photos then we were off for a walk around the edge of the lake for some feature shots and a chance to relax and enjoy the moment.  It was nice walking around in the sun and watching Donna and Belinda having a laugh with their witnesses and taking in the moment.

Then it was back up to the golf club for the girls to enjoy some mingling time with their guests and a great opportunity for some candid shots as well.  In no time the reception had begun and after a being cheered into the room in style it was time for some nice speeches from the newly-weds and other close friends and family members.

It was a very nice setting for a perfect day for Donna and Belinda!  I’m sure plenty of fun was had through the rest of the wedding.

Niall and Maeve’s Brilliant Killyhevlin Wedding

4 Aug

Niall and Maeve had a brilliant day with their service in the amazing St Patrick’s Church in Dungannon followed by a very nice reception in the Killyhevlin Hoten in Enniskillen.  Truscott Photography was there to snap away from before Nialls arrival to the Church to after the speeches and it was great fun throughout the day (except for the rain at the end!).  There were plenty of smiles from the very happy Bride and Groom all day which made it that little bit easier to get the happy, relaxed and candid shots that Niall and Maeve wanted.

So after some detail shots around the beautiful Church, Niall and the lads turned up and the fun and games began from there.  Everyone was having a great time and the weather was beautiful so there was some nice time spent by the guests mingling outside catching up with family and friends.

Maeve arrived right on time looking stunning and after a lovely service (again with plenty of laughs!), it was time to head up to The Killyhevlin Hotel for some photos down by the Lough before the Reception.

We went straight into the formal shots to get them done so the guests could go back to the reception area and then the newly-weds and I took a nice stroll around the gardens of the Killyhevlin and down onto the jetty next to the Lough.  It was perfect timing because just at the end of our walk it started to rain and it was time to head inside for the guys to chat to their family and friends before the sit down time.

The rain really was the only thing that could have possibly put a dampener on any ones mood as it really did have a great vibe from beginning to end!

Congrats to Niall and Maeve!

David and Gillian’s Sunny Clandeboye Wedding

22 Jul

David and Gillian had a lovely wedding in Ballyholme then the Clandeboye Lodge in Bangor.  Truscott Photography was there from before the service through to after the speeches the get all the photos of their special day.

The service was in Ballyholme about 20 metres from my house, so it definitely set a new record for the shortest trip to a service!  It was a great atmosphere from the start and both David and Gillian had a super time from the moment they arrived and I’m sure they had a great time right through to the end of the reception.

After the service we went down to Donaghadee.  It was low tide so we ventured right down onto the beach in front of the town then around to the pier and lighthouse as well.  We had good fun getting a host of different shots then it was time to head up to the Clandeboye and join the guests before the reception.

Congrats to the Bride and Groom who are currently having a very tough time sipping on cocktails in Mexico!

John and Catherine’s Beautiful Ulster Museum Wedding

15 Jul

John and Catherine’s wedding day really was something to remember…  Not just because it was in the Museum!

It really was a beautiful day from start to finish and Truscott Photography was there from the service, the walk through Belvoir Forest, the reception at Ulster Museum right through to the photo booth (which was very funny).
