Ryan and Sarah had a fabulous wedding at the Ulster Museum in Belfast! The service and reception were at the venue and Truscott Photography was there from the morning preparations through to after the speeches.
The guys were getting ready at Duke’s Hotel in Belfast which had a very nice large Bridal Suite for the girls to get ready in. It was very good fun from the start and because everyone was in the hotel I was able to get some coverage of the girls and the guys getting ready. The guys were a little more relaxed than the girls and they were putting in some good time relaxing in the room and even a quick snooze in bed together which was easy for these guys who have been mates since P1 and in a band together in the past!
Sarah is from the US, so it was great for here to have family and friends over for their wedding. So after some shots in the hairdressers then back at the hotel room for the details shots of the dress and flowers it was time for the last cheers shot before I headed up to the Museum. So after one of Sarah’s bridesmaids nearly killed us all with the cork from the champaign bottle, we got the cheers shots and I was away to the museum.
The Ulster Museum always does a great job with weddings and this was no exception. After some detail shots of the service room and some candid shots of the guests arriving it was show time! It was a very nice service and I’m sure all the guests from the US were very happy they made the trek over.
After the service it was raining pretty consistently so we got the formal shots inside and then the newly wed couple and I went around the Museum getting some different photo opportunities before the weather cleared enough for us to head down to the Botanic Gardens and get some photos there as well which was great.
It was then time to mingle and have some fun with their guests before the start of the reception, so I snapped away at the guests and got some detail shots of the reception room (including the cake that was made from wheels of cheese!) before the sit-down time arrived.
So after a grand entry from the Bride and Groom into the reception and a quick group photo with all the guests it was time for the speeches which were very funny as well with Sarah’s sisters getting up for a speech as well.
So it really was a super day and I’m glad we got down to the botanic gardens with the weather. Ryan and Sarah did a great job and you could tell they had a brilliant time all day! Congrats guys and all the best for your future together!
